I road CATS all last season. Limiting it to just 1,000 is a disaster. If anything there needs to be more buses not less. LSU is gonna take some heat on this and they deserve it. I always thought it would be a good idea to give a string of buses a police escort getting more people to the game quicker and more efficient.

This is crazy.

LSU needs to sit down with CATS and figure out a way to correct this.

It is unacceptable to decrease to 1000 riders per game when an average of 7300 used the buses last year.

If anything, it seems that you would want more people to use the mass transit system.

It's to the point where if you aren't on campus by 10 am for a night game, then you're basically gonna hang out in traffic til kickoff.

Don't even get me started on the 11 am games.

Lsu did not make this decision. CATS did. Not sure why so many are acting like LSU just decided to take away busses here. The #1 complaint regarding LSU football gameday over the past few years has been traffic and that is what they are attempting to improve. Contraflow is better than having more CATS busses.

Having said that, I can see alternate routes from CATS or possibly using LSU busses in the future.

They simply do not care. They will never care. They have the money and Alleva will never be affected, not Miles or any other high-level person, so we just have to deal with the embarrassment.

But we paid millions to a consultant to tell us to go back to the Skip Bertman years plan. Then closed down a major road because of all the deaths.

So many deaths. Safety!!!!1!

I would think that it would be in LSU's best interest to have a mass transit system working on game days. I would hope that CATS and LSU met to discuss this issue before CATS decided to just drastically cut the number of buses available.

If the meeting did not happen, LSU needs to meet with CATS this week to determine a way to get the buses back on the road.
