McFadden is better suited for corner but could play anywhere in the secondary. But the staff would probably recruit him at corner with the depth we have safety and that we are recruiting for next year

He posted that on Twitter. He didn't retweet it. So someone either sent it to him or he reads this board.

Don't want to be negative, but this kid is all Florida State. Would be a ridiculous haul if we get him and Toliver though.

Maybe he is all FSU. However, there are huge advantages for him coming to play at LSU with Kevin Toliver II.

First, he'll get more exposure. Sure, sports analysts will talk about him as a great DB if he goes to FSU. But if he goes to LSU with KT, sports analysts will talk about him every time they talk about great secondaries, great CB combos, and great pass defenses. How could ESPN or any other network not talk about him when he is paired with the other great CB of his class?

Second, if he goes to LSU with KT, he'll get passes thrown to his side. If he goes to a school where he is the only lockdown CB, teams will avoid his side. However, if he goes to LSU with KT, teams won't be able to avoid a lockdown corner. There will be a lockdown corner on both sided. The other team will have to throw it somewhere . . .

The kid is from Broward County. FWIW, Rashard Robinson and John Battle are both Broward kids along with Avery Peterson. FSU doesn't have any DB's from Broward. Just saying. It's not over until NSD.

More like back into it. After Elam, the heat really turned up on McFadden.

I agree with you. I know he is very interested in LSU but it will be tough to pull him away from the Sunshine State.

I'm hoping for the best.

per 247, McFadden is set to announce his school choice on 10/31. this follows a weekend visit to Georgia and no visit to LSU yet. not good.

2 months is a long time. Maybe he just wants to shut it down early and still plans a visit to LSU before doing so.
