I think he's athletic enough to learn those things. We're not talking about rocket science. We're talking about running and catching a ball or taking a handoff. If you think otherwise, fine. But to call it "fricking stupid" is a bit much.

Also, he's the same size and just as fast as Clay. Is he undersized compared to some TEs? Sure. Is he slow compared to some TEs? Sure. Does that mean he can't make it as a TE? No. Other TEs with the same dimensions and athletic abilities have done it already. Clay was 7th in receptions and 9th in yards for TEs, not to mention the goalline work he did. You should be shocked that such a slow and undersized TE did so well in the NFL last year.

You seem to be taking the question to mean "is he the next Vernon Davis or Julius Thomas?" That's not the question.

He isn't

He couldn't learn the proper footwork or mechanics of the position he's been playing his whole life, but he'll pick up a new one lickity split, huh?

You'll be fine.

When you combine it with the fact that he has never played the position, the answer is yes.

No, I wouldn't

I would be surprised if a bad QB that was slow and undersized for a TE would have that success though.

Not gonna waste any more time with you. You've shown yourself to be nothing more than an antagonizer.

And I just happen to have more evidence supporting it, which is why I have come to form such an opinion.

You say that as if I am Peej.

At least I can offer something. Not that your "this guy who has played TE his entire life can do it, that means Tim Tebow can!!" was the most convincing of arguments, but it was definitely better than Peej telling us Tebow can't throw a ball for shite, but is a good QB because of Denver over Pittsburgh in OT

He isn't a QB in the NFL anymore. How's that for a fact?

This isn't a fact.

Check this out.

Know what that is? A bunch of guys that NFL GMs and coaches would rather have as their QB, many of whom are SHITTY.

You have no facts, and you are lacking in the evidence department.

Rock on, Peej

I just remember listening to coaches, gm's expressing how they thought he could convert to a good te or h back if he wanted bc he was such an athlete. All I said was 4 more years which I think could of happen.

Don't ever listen to Skip Bayless

Tebow was a garbage NFL qb

I honestly think he would have found some sort of role in the NFL if it weren't for the circus that followed him.

Why though? He didn't want to be a football player, he wanted to be a QB.

Who do people still care? He was an amazing college player that's trash as a pro. He's out of the league. He's bad. It's over. Let it go.

Let's just take this past year's combine results as a quick reference.

Tebow would have had the 4th best 40 time. The best 3-cone drill time. The best 20 yard shuttle time. The 2nd best vertical leap. He didn't do the bench press, but it's reasonable to think he would have been near the top of that as well.

Do you really believe Tebow "isn't athletic enough"?

Do you really think that the position of TE is so easy to play that anyone who is big and athletic can learn it lickity split?

He's probably athletic enough to play TE, if that was the position he had picked up at some point much earlier in his career.

It wasn't.

I'm confused as to what makes you think that picking up the position of TE would be so easy for someone who has never done any of the things required of a TE.

Is it just a position that any big athletic guy could pick up, or is Tebow just that much better of a big athletic guy than everyone else?
