Rick Perry question for people keeping up with it

Have any of you noticed that the MSM is not real excited about this indictment? NYT uses it to show that it's not just Obama who stretches his executive authority. USA Today flat out said the charge was 'flimsy.'
The TV talk shows on the major networks are avoiding it.
Yesterday it was revealed that the group behind the indictment got 1/2 Million from Soros.

Yes, many high profile lefties have spoken out against it.

The local media in Texas are pushing it, especially the newspapers (since he refused to meet with their editorial boards prior to the last general election--not surprisingly, all but maybe one or two endorsed the Democratic candidate).
And the Dallas Morning News (my local rag) has made every effort to point out issues with the Perry administration.
But when Obama poli adviser Axelrod said that the indictment looked flimsy, that didn't help things.

Regardless of party in question, the elite and ruling class found inside the national political sphere does not prefer these types of situations.

Even liberals admit this is a bogus charge. The man can veto anything he sees fit. Even if he does use strongarm tactics.
How do you think Rahm got those last few votes to pass ACA? It's not because he said please or because it's such a marvelous piece of legislation.

It would draw attention to the event that sparked this whole thing, which involves a hilarious video of a hammered DA getting cuffed, restrained, and fitted with a spit curtain.
Probably why a bunch of left wing types have voiced displeasure with this.....that and they'd rather your attention be on the evil, racist white people and how they like to shoot innocent unarmed black kids.
Youtube Rosemary Lehmberg for lots of laughs. If there was anyone who should be removed from office, it's her. It's hilarity that people of all political leanings (rational or otherwise) can enjoy.

George Soros gave the Grand Jury half a million? Is that legal?
The last governor to be removed from office in Texas was removed for pretty much the same thing - using the veto as a tool of manipulation. He was charged and removed by the legislature, however.

If Perry can get indicted for exercising his executive power.....can Obama get indicted for over stepping his power?

Actually Pa Ferguson's big issue was taking bribes in exchange for pardons to get cronies out of prison.
That's why the Governor can no longer commute a sentence or issue a pardon unless the Board of Pardons and Paroles recommends such.
(Something that, somehow, never gets mentioned by those who complain whenever we have an execution. They would contend that Perry also has a pen and a phone.)

I mean, so except for that one small detail (ergo, impeachment IAW the constitution), it's exactly the same.
Ain't it though?
Great post TUba!
