Somebody argue with this Pat Buchanan article, please.

I can't find anything that's wrong, other than saying "lifelong, Sharpton-like obsession with race" is over the top.
Holder has shown impermissible bias by relating his experiences to MIchael Brown.

You really can't. What Pat Buchanan said was entirely truthful. I truly fear Officer Wilson is fixing to be railroaded into prison, or at least have his life ruined.

He passes off hearsay as evidence, then whines about the villification of Wilson. Please.

No he doesn't . He merely says two stories have emerged.

I skimmed through a few of his articles and can't find anything wrong with them.

If yall missed the Brian Lamb/CSpan/Q&A interview with Buchanan last Sunday night...you missed a treat.
Pat Buchanan is one of the most honest and light-hearted politicos out there; and that virtue is one his greatest political burdens. Telling the whole truth, up on that Hill, assures personal character destruction (racist, bigot, heartless, etc.) and a MSM 'scarlet letter' for life.
And the "Sharpton-like obsession with race" quote could be applied to the Reverend Wright/"my spiritual mentor" Obama just a aptly. But a lot of people just can't face the truth, even when the top LE officials in the land butt into and utterly poison the due process of Law with stuff like "if I had a son..." comments. And that is why this Nation is going to hell, and will pay a dear price for worshiping PC, and censoring honest critique.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Live and learn. Humanity moving up!

I think Pat is off-base, and I think it's telling that he conveniently failed to mention the Jack-In-The-Box case that turned so many people against McCulloch. He also failed to mention Holder's record as the U.S. Attorney for D.C. from 1993 to 1997, when Holder was repeatedly accused of being too lenient on police misconduct and police shootings of civilians doubled. Buchanan is also forgetting that Holder ignored the "lynch mob" when they wanted him to prosecute George Zimmerman. Does he think Al Sharpton would have ignored them if he had been the Attorney General? Both Holder and McCulloch have had life experiences that have had an impact of them, but I would say that McCulloch experiences are more profound and indelible than Holder's, lest we also include all the horror stories that Holder has no doubt heard from his in-laws. However, this doesn't mean that either one of them should be pulled off the case. I think the Black politicians asking for McCulloch's removal are misguided and I think Pat is misguided. Besides, elections have consequences, and the folks clamouring for their removal should wait till the next election to vent their frustration rather than be poor sports aboout it.

Accused by whom? Accused over what cases specifically?

I appreciate the thoughtful response.

A 1998 Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation by the Washington Post -- highlighted in a Wednesday USA Today op-ed -- found that police files and court records from a period coinciding with Holder's tenure as Washington's U.S. attorney revealed "a pattern of reckless and indiscriminate gunplay by officers sent into the streets with inadequate training and little oversight."
"Washington's officers fire their weapons at more than double the rate of police in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or Miami," the Post reported. In the five-year period before the investigation was published, D.C. police had fired at 54 moving cars, shot nine unarmed men on foot, and in 11 cases ruled shootings justified "despite eyewitness accounts or forensic evidence that contradicted officers."
Holder told the Post he hadn't seen a pattern of excessive force. For all the malfeasance the Post found, Holder's tenure as top prosecutor from 1993 to 1997 saw charges against only two officers -- for lying about their roles in a fatal shooting.

Wasn't DC one of the most dangerous cities in the in the country in the 90s? I lived in Maryland for a while in the 90s and remember Southeast DC was about like Chicago today. Even A tourist on the interstate was shot.

Buchanan is a straight shooter and would have made a good President if not for his moniker as a right-wing religious radical perpetuated of course by the liberal progressive media.

Let's be specific here. In 2000, a STL drug task force was making its 3rd or 4th buy from two low level crack and heroin dealers. When the police officers approached the car of the dealers, they (the drug dealers) backed up and crashed into another police cruiser which had blocked them in. The police officers in front fired into the car and killed the two petty drug dealers.
McCulloch's biggest offense on that case was calling the two petty drug dealers "scum." That's what pissed off the professional race baiters. And yes, Sharpton showed up then, too, and did his Sharpton thing.

Thanks for the links.
I don't believe Buchanan was saying that Holder isn't tough on rogue cops. Buchanan's point about Holder is that Holder is race obsessed. I don't see anything in either article about the race of the officers involved in shootings in DC. Do you know the races of the cops in the two stories you linked?

No, I sure don't, but we do know that George Zimmerman is White, and Holder stiff-armed the foiks demanding his scalp.

White prosecutors have empathized with their race for 250 years.
Having a black man possibly do the same thing melts this board's mind.

But they're not racist. Just watch them tell you so.
