I have finally found something that fits. I don't go to an office. I can do my stuff anywhere. I'm working on other creative endeavors and toward residual income. But I pinch myself every day and thank God for the opportunity. It wasn't just luck, but a lot of people who are smarter and harder-working than I aren't this fortunate.

I'm essentially in the same spot you were...if you don't mind me asking, what did you find that "fits"?

i have a handful of business clients and i have gotten away from litigation. close personal contacts, a stake in the businesses, and I manage my own slowly recovering real estate portfolio and some intellectual property/publishing stuff.

Most of my work comes from one major client now who treats me like an insider rather than begrudgingly dealing with and paying me as an attorney.

It's a good mix and gives me flexibility to travel and not be married to a dead-end career.

you?
