Because he's good? I really don't care about falling a drug test. Maybe he comes here and makes grades since he's back home. It's certainly a risk no doubt though.
We already passed on him. What has changed since then? Is he a better prospect now? Are we more in need of a DE now?

perhaps. Tough to tell. He had 3 TFL in their spring game and was expected to see a lot of time this year per their fans. So at the very least he's proven himself to be in the mix at a very good school. That's nothing to scoff at.

he isn't good enough to avoid being processed
This is very far from the truth. That said, I had many doubts that he and $abin would be a good mix, and that may be what we are seeing. It's never been a talent issue-he's as gifted as they come.
And rarely will I claim to have any insight from the inside, but I actually do in this case. While it's dated, I'll stand by what I said at the time he committed there-he and Shorty were not destined to do well unless he made dramatic changes. Tim, not the midget.

It wouldn't hurt to have another DE, IF his problems can be addressed. I would think being home, on the team with Garrett and Nick, etc might help.
Who knows, but for his sake, he'd better straighten up before he runs out of chances.

Spring walk-on looks like. Wanted to get a semester of academics under his belt. And put some weight back on.
