I don't think the pre-merger teams should be considered to be honest. That gives a significant advantage to old teams that essentially had much higher odds to win it all before the merger. 1/10 odds compared to 1/32 today is a significant advantage.

I would like to see a points per year kind of system. If I get an extended lull at work I may calculate it but that point system is shite.
Also, I think it is laughable that 2 Superbowl losses=1 super Bowl win and a championship from the 30s was greater than a superbowl loss.
It was just an article I saw Saturday at work that I thought some people would enjoy.
