This is such an empty statistic. It's not like there's a plethora of games available on the new gen consoles at the moment. Now if we were 3 years in and had a lot of game options with the new gen consoles then yes, that's a fricking amazing stat. But at the moment, it's only seizing the moment due to lack of options. Most people will look at that stat and be like "damn man! They're killing it" but they fail to factor in the lack of competing options at the present moment.

I wonder how many in that number account for Destiny console bundle sales for first time PS4 buyers (like me) and people who bought PS4's specifically for the timed exclusive content. The bundles came with a 30 day PSN+ voucher (not sure about the actual game but wouldn't be surprised if it came with some sort of free PSN+ voucher). I would guess a small percentage of first time buyers comprise the statistic. But still, this is an impressive statistic.

Interesting. I was talking to someone who was playing Destiny. They were in the UK though.
