NBC will name Chuck Todd the new host of "Meet the Press" as early as Thursday afternoon, according to people with direct knowledge of the network's plans.
The sources confirmed widespread speculation that David Gregory, the moderator of the iconic Sunday morning public affairs program for the past six years, will be replaced by Todd. Gregory is expected to leave NBC.
CNN linkage
Seems like they can't hold that ship steady since Russert passed away. Thoughts on Chuck Todd replacing Gregory?

Blue replacing Blue
The show will still be the official mouthpiece of the Obama admin

Todd may come off as less unlikable but still propaganda.

Gregory is the epitome of a media douchebag.

Nothing but vomit spews from both of their mouths.

Since CNN is not replacing the producers of the show, only the mouthpieces, it will be more of the same until another group buys them out!

He can't be any worse, but the show will still be a left-wing circle jerk.
Of course, that's just what NBC wants.

I wouldn't get too comfy, Chuck. I highly doubt he's NBC's long term answer.
Still glad to see that douche Gregory gone.
ETA: I'm sure they wouldn't offer it to him, but Chris Wallace is a solid moderator. I think he's equally tough on both sides.
Guess he's out.

I lost all respect for Chuck Todd when he punked out on the bet he lost a few years ago and was supposed to shave that dead rat of a goatee off of his face. Can't trust a man who welshes on a bet.
He's perfect for NBC.

What was the bet about?

Joe Scarborough will be mad. I bet he bolts for CNN or another Network.

Russert will never be replaced.

It was an on-air bet with another reporter on the Dodgers in the NLCS a few years ago.
