Probably going to the stay the same. If that is true, it means that several juniors will have had excellent seasons and get good draft grades. This in turn opens up recruiting spots. It is up to the coaches to find out how best to deal with the system and to maximize the benefit of getting exposure and telling players they can get a chance to play early and if they are good enough to go to the nfl early.

Have you seen our schedule? The stadium will be dead for over half the games this year (3 joke OOC games and Kentucky). The same could happen for Miss St. Ole Miss and Bama will be good, though.

What's interesting to me is that for the New Mexico State game there will be maybe 80,000 people in the stands at kickoff, and absolutely 0% excitement before or during the game. 1/2 the crowd that does show up will leave at halftime, and it will take an OBJ missed FG type of play to get people excited.

Yet if the team doesn't come out fired up like they are playing Alabama and destroy NMSU 55-0, then this board and radio will be filled with people bitching about how they need to get motivated and we should have been able to get our backups for playing time. And I'd bet a large number of those people would be the same ones that either didn't show up or left early.

I hope it will be better for a couple of reasons:

1. We have TONS of incredible freshmen that will see playing time rise towards the end of these easier games. Including Fournette, Dupre, and Quinn. Also, we get to see more of the QBs. This isn't a situation where we have a starter that sits and everyone leaves.

2. The new stadium is much more enjoyable. Better TVs, more shade, and wifi available so people can check other scores of bigger games.

well considering the NFL adopted a new policy on draft grades, where I think they will only give 1st, 2nd or stay it may help. Lets hope the players stay.

No no...they will only give a certain amount of players from each school (with exceptions) grades for the draft

It will have zero effect on players leaving for the draft early

Because half the people in attendance can't think for themselves, so they'll do what everyone else is doing. They'll also probably think it makes them cool.

I have never seen a two-way thread before , but traditionally college players have considered it an honor to be able to go to the early nfl sorta like a mini Heisman but when a lot of these youngsters lose out and don't go anywhere or very far in the pros I think things will improve wih better fore sight !!

I think a lot of it depends on Fournette. If he's the next big thing, could generate some interest to see him. But, if he's having a big game and we're up 49-0 at half, he's not playing in the 2nd half anyway.

So no...guess not.

Agree. Heat and humidity and a weak opponent means a lot of folks will leave early.

Same students. Shitty schedule. Every game on tv without PPV. It'll be worse from now on.

if they aren't going to sell beer, they need to waive the no re-entry rule.

I thought this would be about NFL departures. I wish they shortened college halftime and got rid of bands performing. When LSU was way ahead of shitty teams at half, people didn't feel like sitting through that crap. Even in close games, people didn't feel like waiting that bs out.

I halfway agree with you. I enjoy the idea of the band playing, but the constant throwbacks to the 1940's classic that no one has ever heard of is awful to sit through.
