You are correct. Miles has already passed Bernie Moore who has 83 wins.

I believe the only one left to catch is Chollie Mac.

What's your point. Miles doesn't make the schedule. The schedule is what it is.

McLendon has 137 wins. At Miles' current pace, he will easily pass Cholly Mac.

This is BS. Go back and look at those schedules. LSU plays far better competition now, as does everyone in CFB.

Yeah, it was a lot easier to avoid playing I-AA teams before 1978 . . .

But the fact that Miles averages less losses per year despite coaching in more games has to mean something, right?

Nah, that makes too much sense.

Charlie Mac did coach in 13 post-season bowl games. Also, Mac coached against Rice and Tulane 'rent-a-wins' every year, and won all but 3 of those.

And Miles has not had 3 rent-a-wins every year.
I wouldn't call Arizona, Arizona State, Virginia Tech, West Va twice, Oregon, Washington twice, North Carolina, TCU and Wisconsin as 'rent-a-wins.'

Also, Miles has coached 9 seasons at LSU and has had SEVEN double digit winning seasons. Just because Miles has had more games to coach each year doesn't mean it's easier to win them. that's a tribute to Miles. 7 of 9 ten-win-or-more seasons is remarkable.

When you play 13-14 games a year with that kind of talent you BETTER win at least 10 games a year.

Huh?

What's Miles win percentage vs those guys?

Mac had 59 losses in 18 years - that's 3.28 losses per year.
Miles has 24 loses in 9 years - that's 2.67 losses per year.
More games per year yet less losses, there goes your 12 games per season theory. Moore averaged exactly 3 losses per year. Saban averaged 3.2.

Moore and Mac were NOT competing in an SEC like exists today, much less the SEC West of the past 5 years or so.

True, But then in Miles 9 years, he's only played 14 games twice.
Miles may be the only coach in the country who's won 10 or more games in 7 of the last 9 years.

In the SEC East, if you've played 14 games, you've won at least 11 times. In the SEC West, if you've played 14 games, you've won at least 12 times.

Miles has won at least 10 games in the regular season 6 of 9 times. You find me teams in at least a decent conference who has done the same in the last 9 years. Not that many.
