Just about every woman you know is a feminist: Your spouses, girlfriends, sisters, mothers, all of them. Pretty much none of them would willingly go back to an era when they couldn't vote, couldn't get a job outside of nurse or teacher, didn't have any recourse for a neglectful or abusive husband, couldn't control their own reproduction. And most reasonable men-and even most OTers-wouldn't want to live in that world either.
Don't buy into the stupid internet memes of what a feminist is and is not.
The meaning of the ideology/movement of feminism has evolved since its origin in the women's suffrage movement. It would be unfair to say that society's current definition of feminism is the belief that both sexes are equal. It has become more of a philosophy on how to MAKE both genders equal in society by lawful means such as reparations and gender based affirmative action. Personally, I believe women and men are equal and society and government should treat men and women equally, but I in no way call myself a feminist.
As Friedrich Hayek once said, "There is all the difference in the world between treating people equally and attempting to make them equal." I believe the majority of people who call themselves feminists support ideas/laws that attempt to make both genders equal rather than supporting the idea of treating them equally.
I believe The Amazing Atheist's definition of feminism is the most accurate description of the movement/ideology as it stands today.

I dunno man. People get all wrapped around the axle over something somebody has said and gets reposted on the internet. I never run into these types IRL. I guess they exist, but it's hard to get too worked up over some outrageous statement that has little effect on me.

Hey buddy. Send me some emails I'd appreciate. Something new would be nice.

Not the same. (Ideally, anyway.)
I consider myself a feminist, but if makes y'all feel more comfortable I could also be an equalist/egalitarian/whatever.

Not in my experience.

By saying you're an egalitarian, do you mean that you believe in equal opportunities or equal outcomes?

This is like saying "I'm a guy who loves having sex with other dudes, but I in no way call my self a homosexual."

It depends on what you're talking about. Equal opportunity, definitely. I'm not sure if it would be possible for EVERYTHING to have equal outcomes, but as long as there's the possibility for it, sure.

100 years ago it would have been, but the definitions of words change. The current definition of feminism is very ambiguous.

Well the goal of communism is for each member of society to be as equal as possible and you said earlier you believe in equal outcomes for everyone if it is possible.

True. Feminism would also support men's issues, but too many spiteful extremists have messed that up.

That's the ideal, yes. Does it ever work? Not really.
