At that moment that officer felt justified in pulling the trigger.

And I'm sure Michael Brown felt justified in provoking a confrontation. Feelings of justification aren't shite.

This situation has to be handled very carefully. No room for error. It wouldn't be shocking if an officer got a little too jumpy or mouthy. Match meet powder keg.

Yea, hundreds of people that are angry and dgaf all wanting to do you harm could be pretty stressful. I hope its all handled properly but I also hope the police dont back down

My father worked 35 years in St.Louis city Police Department.

He never had to shoot anyone. Never, and he is proud to say that. he worked some of the biggest shite holes there were. Dealt with the worst of the worst, white and black.

One time he pulled down an alley, looking for a guy, he stopped, guy caught him from behind, put a gun to his head, and was about to pull trigger, when his radio went off from another cop, and the guy took off. He got out and Fired a shot, missed in darkness. He always said, no cop wants to kill anyone.

They might act tough, but in the end, this type of shite weighs on their minds. There have been guys who offed themselves because the scene played in their head over and over, and their conscience of actually killing someone(justified killing) got them. No One wants to take a life.

18 is a kid to most people over the age of 30 regardless of the legal definition. Silly point to argue as it doesn't make a difference either way in this case. Just saying bc it's annoying to see the same pointless argument repeatedly.

If the kid went for the gun, the cop had every reason to shoot him. It might not mean the cop needed to shoot him as many times as he did or, if true, in the back. No one knows anything for sure yet. I won't argue for either side until an investigation is complete.

That's awesome.

Now what about those calling for beating and robbing "white folks"?

Mr. Al Sharpton, here’s why I don’t respect you and nobody like you. See, you’re the type that gets off on getting on other people.

Rather unhuman I should say. I mean, given the fact that humanity, well good humanity rather to me is helping one another, no matter your color or race. This guy, and people like him they’d rather speculate before they informate, if that’s a word. Meaning I much rather you talk to me first and see if you can lend an opinion before you make one.

Per the eyewitness the cop warned him twice he would shoot him. ..if he wanted to shoot him why warn him twice?

To me 18 yrs old is still a kid, second, can you please tell me what he did that would require detainment? I don't think walking down the street, or popping off to a cop warrants arrest.

Here is the issue all of the cop defenders are missing. Had captin hero either drove off and ignored the statement, or simply pulled up and talked to the kid like a human being this could have ended up differently. I work with inner city black kids all day every day and the one thing I know is its all about how you, the white guy, approach them. Police need to learn to calm the frick down every once and a while and just talk to people. It isn't always about pulling a gun, detaining an individual, or showing your rear.

Nothing is foolproof. But I would agree that many police currently escalate a situation by the way they respond rather than de-escalate.
