Yeah, I wouldn't compare yourself
To a guy that scammed millions of dollars from innocent people if I were you

I think this culture was created by the hundreds of car commercials saying "$2500 cash rebate."
People assume cash gets a discount bc everyone offers it on tv.

lawyers are trashy thieves, oil big wigs are thieves, doctors are out to rob people. Any honest fields out there these days? C'mon people.

Not comparing myself, stating the the straight line systems works in any line of sales. Were talking because you clearly have interest in being sold. If not then why are you here, time is money and I have to feed my family.

So if you give the customers all kinds of shite trying to screw them over (like Belfort), then you're a good salesman....but if someone comes in beforehand with cash and knowledge on the car they want and call you out on your bullshite, they are taking food off your table?

Correct.
It is like that with any commodity. The business that is more strapped for cash flow at any given time is going to be willing to make a cash deal or two or three at a price point considerably lower than their competitor who is in better shape. Dealer A might not be willing to do that deal while Dealer B is glad to have the money in the bank.
Doesn't matter the commodity, as it is the same in every industry.

Dude you have no idea what you're talking about. There are no lies and most of the time the customer knows more about the car then me. It is a sales system, stay on track with the sell, dont wonder off in it.

Serious question for all the car salesmen. I was under the impression that dealerships make most of their money from repairs/service is this true?

Dick leverage do you not understand that a dealership gets all of the money pretty much right away rather you bring a bag of cash or finance through one of the dealers banks??

Some do, down the street from us is ted russell nissan. The mark up is 1000 and no negotiations.
Most people will service where they buy, so all in all it starts with the sell, and loyalty to a company.

Uh, excuse me for being dim, but as far as the buyer is concerned, he/she pays less by paying cash regardless of the purchase price. That annoying thing called interest.

Its an indication to the dealer that the buyer is fully qualified to buy the vehicle regardless of finance or interest rate. They want the best deal and can pay cash immediately.
That liquidity means they can shop anywhere for any vehicle and cut the bullshite with the finance manager.
I've bought 3 cars this year for wife and kid going to college plus one other. cash paid for all except for the Ford Taurus I bought myself where Ford offered Zero percent financing. I figured frick it, I would play with their money.

Just another idiot that doesnt understand and thinks he does. Banks buy cars from dealerships and makes the interest.

Please use sale instead of sell. I'm glad you're posting but for some reason it's driving me nuts.

So the margins at the initial sale aren't great but you make it up later with repairs. Seems like the foreign luxury makers especially make bank off this because your average auto shop doesn't know how to work on a Land Rover, Mercedez, BMW, etc.

You can't even reply to the right person and you're making fun of someone who can write a check for cars and not miss it? Lol
I can see why you're a top notch car sellsman.

I never replied to the wrong person. He said I was scamming people and feeding them bullshite.
I admire people that can save their money and pay cash, if I were to buy a car I would. My initial thing was that they want to know bottom dollar out the door and that is something salespeople dont do or know.

I love these threads. All the car salesmen come outta the woodwork and try to defend their trashy profession. Don't get mad at everyone because you dropped outta college and the only thing you're qualified to do is sell someone a used hyundai.

Ok batman. And what is it that you do? Im on track to make another year of a good living, doing something that I like. In the next few years a nice promotion through ford that will more than satisfy my family. With it I have a house that is new and very nice, college funds, 3 cars and food for my family. How is it trashy again? Go frick yourself you douche.
