Did a search and didn't see it posted.

I just talked to DTV. Any package above the choice package will include the SECN.

I am really in the dark to how this will work. Will they be multiple channels? Will you be able to watch different games at one time or will it be regional? Will it be pay per view? Usually I am much better then this and I am really disappointed in myself

I don't think anyone knows for certain yet. I am hoping it is like Big Ten Network. On Directv during the fall, there are sometimes five or six games on alternate channels that aren't shown anywhere else.
Of course, the SEC games are mostly televised somewhere else anyway, but -- I would be surprised if it was not like Big Ten if there are multiple games to show.

Can you use watch espn on a phone or tablet with direct tv? I have been looking at switching, but I'm scared I won't be able to watch football and baseball games when not around a tv.

what is your internet provider?

For COX, Channel 82 is going to be the SEC Network. If there's a case of a carryover, Channel 83 will air the game that starts after until the previous one is switched.
It's just going to be one premium channel, and there will only be 1 game on at the time for the SEC Network.

i'm curious as well about the watch espn function with directv. i have it now but use my friends time warner info to login. now that directv will carry it (& the fact that is carries all other espn networks) i'm hoping eapn & directv will finally let us use directv to login to watch espn.

I think that Directv will pick up WatchESPN. The whole contract is up for renegotiation with Disney right now, and with Dish Network offering that, I can't imagine Directv would not.

They haven't carried it all this time, so I'm not too hopeful that they will now. It was not mentioned in the release about the SEC Network either.

Yeah, but that release was specifically for the SEC Network. They are negotiating a new deal with Disney for everything under Disney's umbrella, so the WatchESPN aspect of that could (and hopefully will) fall under that.
ETA LINK They are negotiating this.
