Just because you own land, you are rich?

You have a high net worth.

Who else will preserve this habitat? You think 100 million ducks are going to fit on the game reserves?

Private interests. How can you want to pay private landowners for duck habitat but don't want to pay other sectors or industries subsidies? Just because you think it's important?

The breeding ground is one issue. What is done on WRP lands in Louisiana is a joke (yes there are a few exceptions). But for the most part it's wasted money directly to the landowner and it provides no additional habitat.

This makes no sense at all. You realize the landowners are giving up something, right?

Would you feel better if the land was purchased from them? We can't grow new land for the ducks

What do other sectors or industries have anything to do with this conversation?

The DUCK HUNTERS are paying for the preservation of DUCK HABITAT.

It may sound crazy to you, but it sounds like one of the better ideas I've heard. Much better than a tax on everyone's income to subsidize duck hunting or even better, taxing my earnings to pay people who don't want to get up and earn on their own.

It sounds to me like you have a hidden agenda or personal experience you would like to share with the class... or you aren't a duck hunter at all
