That's what I'm getting at, SG is terrible and does a ton of local business.

I live in walking distance and have been once since the storm. If I go back I'll be sure to bring some Mexican seasoning for my fajitas.

I mean, if yall can't figure out people go there so much for reasons other than the food, I really don't know what to tell you.

You sound like you are talking out your arse. You have only been one time in 9 years. how the hell do you know?

Are you arguing their margaritas are bad? That you can't find one good thing to eat? That the atmosphere sucks?

I've been many times before then I just use the storm as a reference point for many things. And that one time was last October.

The food is terrible.

Link me to where I was even arguing that. All I said was the food was terrible. Didn't say anything about the margarita mix, or atmosphere. Hell I even said the service was good.

The food is average. Big difference. And I would recommend you go more than 1 time in 9 years. And I have said many times on this board in the past, it's a fun atmosphere and the frozen ritas are the bomb…one double will have you feeling nice 2 doubles will put you on your arse.

Right now I think the food at Del Fuego is terrible. At least at superior, the chips aren't stale and the guac actually has a hint of salt, jalepeno and lime. But I will give Del Fuego another chance to see if it was just one bad experience.

Why would a shittier place have their kind of business? Doesn't make much sense, does it?

I don't know what your problem is with other poster having their own opinion. IMO opinion the food is terrible. I don't go there because of it.

Did I say I you can't have your opinion of the place?

And am I not allowed to disagree with your opinion?

I like the place. The food is OK. It's a fun place to go. It's like you, Obrah, etc don't even bother reading what I actually say half the time.

I'd say that's a little overstating it as I'd say below average, but different strokes.

Which is determined by non-food things, I assume? Drinks? Atmosphere? For my money, I can get those things elsewhere in a way that I'll enjoy more. That's just personal preference. I guess I could be like zealot and go there 8 or so times to find the dish that's right for me, but that's also 8 meals where I could eat at a restaurant I really enjoy.

Doubtful, this thread is a perfect example. Not once did I say the food is good, and yet that's what you took away from my posts. Even though I said it is popular for reasons other than the food twice.

Close enough to basically agree.

Basically. I only end up there with big groups or for drinks during Mardi Gras, etc. Like most places, it's as fun as the group of people you're with.

I would never chose to go there for the food, so I can definitely see this. But I've yet to find a person IRL that can't find something they can enjoy there.
