Not sure about that, but from everything I've read it hasn't created the amount of trophy fish they were claiming when they instituted these rules.

No, but it's maintaining them, problem we in LA have is every swinging dick wants to throw every 5lb plus trout in box.

the reason bigger trout are being caught in the western part of the state is more because of the difference in habitat features between the two areas, east and west.

If you are a trout and are in the western part of the state, where to you have to go inland at?

In between Vermillion Bay and Lake Charles is pretty damn barren as far as landscape features go.

So you have the shipping channels in Lake Charles which provide closed, protected, safe, cooler and saltier waters.
