I backed into someone backing out of my driveway. I was going no more than 3 to 4 mph. I left on very minor dent on her fender. The bitch got 19k.

If you're asking the OT for legal advise, then you better stick with who you've got.

Your lawyer wants to get as much as possible out of this to fatten his own wallet. Unless he's just really bad with money and needs to pay off a bookie really quickly or something. If he thinks that's all the money you'll get, then that's what it is.

I was hit by a car and spent the night in the hospital. Had to hire an attourney to deal with the insurance agency after they gave me the run around for several months. The lengths they went to try and squeeze money out of that case were slightly repulsive and I had legit injuries. I can't see a PI attourney lowballing a case.

Your lawyer should not pocket more than you at the end of the day. Tell him to cut his fee as necessary. Generally, it's a third, a third, and a third each for the lawyer, the meds, and the client.

You need a new attorney if your doctor attributes the discs to the wreck.

also, You can't get only 6k from a 24k settlement. You should get about $10k at least assuming your health insurer gets subrogation for $9k.

I'm not reading through this thread so I'll just say yes get a new lawyer. You obviously distrust the one you have and you'll never feel satisfied.
