For over the shoulder shots, preferably. How do you guys have your rigged? What are some mounts, etc. that I may need?

Just handed it to you for nothing?
Edit. Just get one of the semi cupped sticky 3m mounts and put it on the side. I did it for mine until I broke part of the mount attachment loading it in the truck

I like the on-the-head angle.
For over the head, you probably just need a broomstick taped to your crate and a gopro mount.

Yeah, he's getting 2 of the 3+ models next week. He's in the filmmaking biz, and he said he wants to give it to me. I tried insisting that I give him something but he wants it to be a gift rather than a sale or a trade.

I've seen people rig them up using a handlebar mount on something like a broomstick and just stick it in one of the rod holders.

I do have to buy batteries and sd cards for it.

There are a lot of companies online that make awesome GoPro mounts for half the price as GoPro sells them. The new GoPro sportsman mount is pretty legit though.

ever since GoPro went public a few weeks ago I have seen the them dump off a ton of the hero 3's,(not 3+ mind you)
in fact three days after they went public they called one of my fishing buddies who is a big time crappie pro and they sent him two gopro 3 blacks, he called them up after getting them dropped off and said,"can i get some 3+s or some hero 2s? They don't have near the glitches .."
mind you he has won the national crappie angler of the year 2 of the past 3 years, and he couldn't even hardly get GoPro to send him new mounts
i'm gonna be interested to see where gopro goes with marketing now that they are public

I've given up on the sticky mounts. Tired of them failing or getting knocked off. Got a headband and chest harness, will go with those from now on.
