No way of knowing that. BAMA got the rematch and put an exclamation point on the end of the argument with a 21-0 butt kicking that created distance between the two programs that we have still not closed to this day. Not sure why people still belly ache about the rematch. If you are the better team in Tuscaloosa during the season, then you should be the better team in Jan coming off a months rest at a "neutral" site 87 Miles from your campus. End of story. We had a "do over" in 07' after choking against Arkansas at home to end the season. We took full advantage and won the NC game. Let it go and hope Les has assembled enough talent and coaching expertise to go along with his program leader skills to reach the summit again!!

Good post I agree they were the best team. BCS got it right. I do miss honey badger in a Lsu uni though.

We only got a "do over" because every one else lost too. Bama lost at home in the last half of the year and still jumped two other one loss teams that were conference champs. Not the same thing.

We also won the SEC. Not the same thing. Bama was handed that shite on a silver platter. Not sure I'll ever stop being bitter about that. They were a great team, but didn't earn their spot. frick em.
