Correct me if this dumb but can someone like grubbs move over to center and we just fill nicks in at the guard spot or wherever if we could get him to sign?

Centers typically have no trouble moving over to guard, but not the other way around. Not all of those guards are comfortable snapping the ball, and centers are responsible for calling OL audibles (they're typically the smartest guy on the line unless their name is Pouncey).
