WTF is the hold up. Any inside info? I know a bunch of you are cable installers.

I spoke with a Suddenlink rep yesterday and she said they expect a deal shortly with the SECN.

Just setup direct tv install. All 5 reps I had talked to when bargaining for the best deal told me it will be available in August

Anyone called DirectTV lately to "complain" and cancel in order to get discounts?

Lots of people, thread on it on the rant if you search it. It's literally like a grab bag or scratch off of what they will give you. Discounts, gift cards, NFL Sunday ticket, movie channels, or absolutely nothing

Yeah. It worked for me although I wasn't only calling about SECN.
I started my service after the NFL season was over. They told me I already had a "free year" of Sunday Ticket and they auto-renewed it. I don't care about Sunday ticket but I mentioned it was kind of crappy that my free year included no games

"Have a deal in place shortly" seems to be the go to BS. Eatel said the same thing the day Cox announced and nothing had been said since
