re: Will Blackwell bashing Les and LSU on Twitter

I would rather Will not to be a bitch on social media & say it to Les' face.

Should have kept his sorry @ss on the d-line and let him fade away to "Bolivia". He should be a man. If he has a beef with Les set up a meeting and handle it mano-a-mano. Resorting to social media to push that agenda is childish. Fredo you are dead to me. If I ask you to go fishing with me, decline.

Just tweeted an apology
@WillyB60: My initial tweet was a poor intent at comedy. I would never compare LM to KK in terms of success. I love LSU and always will.
@WillyB60: Mainly because I was in part to blame for the crushing bcs loss. Instead of accepting responsibility I chose to deflect and I apologize...
@WillyB60: I would like everyone to know that my tweets earlier were uncharacteristic and childish. I was bitter about the way that my career ended....

I doubt there's ever been a team where at least 35% of the players didn't like the coach.

Sounds like someone called Stryker.

Well he has completely backtracked. Sounds like someone talked some sense into him. He is still making some excuses, saying that he tweets were "an attempt at comedy."

I don't blame the players who played in that game for being pissed about the horrible game plan or the lack of adjustments. To completely lay an egg on that big of a stage was a terrible embarrassment, and frankly it seems that the team has never quite gotten over it.
I don't remember Miles ever publicly acknowledging how bad of a job he did in that game. Frankly the only thing he could do to make amends is to figure out how to beat Saban 7-8 times in a row and even then, the 21-0 reminders would still piss everyone off.

Should've just stood behind it. Now he just comes off like a bitch for issuing an BS apology for the 100 people who saw his tweets.

The game plan sucked but the O-line getting annihilated made sure that crappy gameplan wouldn't work.

Look lets face it. Its been said many times. Alabama did not deserve a redo. We beat their @ss in Tuscaloosasnd of story. Okay side note. Daughter driving through Tuscalooser today texted me: "Dad it stinks here." That's my girl :)

quote:One of the main reasons I'm so excited for this recruiting class and this years team. They have no tie to that game and most the people on the last 2 teams did. It was as if that game did LSU in for the rest of those players career. Maybe our guys are to naive to realize how embarrassing that game was, but I prefer it that way. Let these young guys step up and pave the new era.

Are we sure his account wasn't hacked before jumping to conclusions?

I see when considering backtracking or claiming his Twitter got hacked, he decided to go with option A.

Totally agree - who wouldn't be disappointed. However, the reality is: winning is easy to take, whereas, losing is tough and usually builds character in its aftermath. Apparently Blackwell is an exception to that phenomenon...

The guy was afraid to take a hit and lost confidence. Which is why he never played in NC, he simply couldn't handle the pressure Bama was sending, along with our OLine folding a tower of cards being knocked over.
I don't really care about what this guy is tweeting and he does sound bitter, but Lee got screwed after the 1st Bama outing (which was his first bad outing of the year). He completed 3/5 passes after that game and had 1 pass attempt in the last four games after leading LSU through most of the season at QB. I mean, Les didn't use him in the SECCG against UGA and JJ was just as bad in that game. He finished with 30 yards passing and -5 rushing yards. UGA wasn't Bama.
No matter how bad he was against Bama the 1st time, he should've gotten a shot because that's what a backup QB is there for. When it ain't working and everything is on the line, you try whatever to make it work. If it would have been the same result, you could at least say we used all options and it just didn't happen. JJ should have been the guy because he had played good games against Bama (no matter how bad people tried to say he was). But it just seemed like Miles completely dismissed Lee after that first Bama game and I think Saban knew that going into the game.
