Great Miles quote on First Take

Stephen A. Smith asked Miles what it's like to recruit against Nick Saban. Miles response: "We are who we are... We like us... And we'll compete against any."

I thought Les was awesome. Loved Stephen A's questions about how competing against the great Nick Saban affects Les Miles. Les is the freakin man.

Yep. I loved how he slow played all the LF questions. You can tell he knows that LF is going to be great, but he's going to let the kid do it on the field.

It wasn't. Les really was the man. Worth it.

If only Les could have won 1 more game in 2011. This narrative would be completely different.

Yeah. Those Michael Jordan comments were really low key.

But I like the way he plays it. He gives the Michael Jordan comments at Media Days, but then he down plays it on ESPN. He's crazy like a fox. He gives enough to show that LF will be great, but then he leaves it there. It's like a great poker player who has an awesome hand. He baits you in and until you can't get out, and then he slow plays you to the end.

You do realize the comparison to Jordan wasn't so much as in ability, but in preparation and competitiveness right?
Some people don't have any comprehension skills anymore.

I think you took his MJ quote wrong. He never said LF was the MJ of the football world and would lead LSU to 6 NCs.
Posted on 7/21/14 at 10:28 am to White Shadeaux
I was thinking the same damn thing. People and especially the media are so fricking stupid these days.

You bring his name up with Jordan, I don't care what you're referring to, you're building on the hype, as if there wasn't enough already.
I have no problem with it. It's hard to not get excited about this kid. I think Les is being as restrained as anyone could about LF.

Well, I just found my new sig quote.

I love les. I wouldn't trade him for any coach in college football.

He's on Numbers Don't Lie right now. They gave him grass. Demonstrated picking out the piece of grass he eats.
