Cut the cable earlier this year so now I only have streaming. I am hoping to be able to use WatchESPN to stream football games this season. Does anyone have experience using the subject devices to do this?

I currently have a Chromecast but have never tried using it for ESPN.

Works beautiful for me. I watched the entire World Cup on it.

How are you getting WatchESPN with no TV service? I thought you had to subscribe to a TV service to get this, unless you are sharing someone's password.

Have Chromecast and Roku, and Roku is far far better, IMO

You will need a cable login to access Watch ESPN. It is not free, and you cannot pay for the app ad hoc. You can only access it with a cable subscription.
