Both Sandy Springs and Central

Sandy springs property tax millage is 4.7, and their sales tax (county and state) is 7%. I don't know I've ever read that St.George would be below those #'s.

At least they'd be free from yoke of tyranny and corruption of Delgado and Kip and all the other BR race baiters.

Is there a corporate income tax in Sandy Springs? Are they taxed differently at the city level than a Fortune 1000 company would be?

No way that this could be a misleading stat.

Keep dreaming bud. You have been proven wrong in these threads more times than we can count. You trying to come up with weasel explanations only makes us laugh at you more.

St. George has Mockler Beverage.

I thought Mockler moved to Livingston parish. They built a large new building that you can see from I-12.

Hmm, where is this? Seems that their current location is still in great shape and a great location.

Maybe BR Beer?

You can keep repeating lies but they are still lies, liar.

Tell us again how they had 18,000 signatures two months ago but were just waiting until they had 20,000 before they turned the petitions in.

You have no clue as to how Georgia assesses property taxes.

For starters, Georgia's homestead exemption is less compared to Louisiana's.

And property is not assessed at 10% of market value like it is in Louisiana but at full market value.

What a dumbass!

Weak, try again. Show me where i said they had any particular # of signatures. I know it bothers you, but you need to accept that you don't know everything about the issue, and that there are people with access to info you don't have.

You have some overlapping here.

2 do not represent any part of BR (Welch (who represents Zachary, small parts of Baker/Central, and unicorporated north EBR) & Boe)
2 represent only a tiny portion of BR and represent other areas of unincorporated EBR (Loupe (who represents mostly proposed SG in his district) & Wilson (who mostly represents Central and a small portion of proposed SG.))
2 represent a slightly larger portion of BR along with other areas of unincorporated EBR (Banks-Daniel (who also represents most of Baker) & Edwards)
2 have roughly half of their district in BR and the other in proposed SG (Amoroso & Heck)

The remaining council members have all or most of its district located in BR (Wicker, Delgado Collins-Lewis, Marcelle)

Your post is a good counter to the paranoid claims by SG people on this board that SG has no representation on the Metro Council. Thanks.

Agreed, that is why I think the "7 of 12 council members represent St. George" stat is misleading at best.

Delgado represents less than 500 registered voters of the proposed St. George area in his district.
