Passes are looking rough. Maybe a little first game rust?

I'm liking Lovren a lot. You can see how much he communicates out there and takes charge.

He also has dominated the air and gotten two balls I didn't think were his to even attempt at.

He also had at least one nice over the top ball with back spin that played us into their box.

We've looked pretty lackadaisical out there. Outside of the goal and a few moments, everyone's looked a bit sluggish. Can't really hold onto the ball unless we're knocking it around the back.

Yeah, you can see the killer ideas are there, but the execution just isn't. The passes are a bit off, the ideas just a slight angle different. The trap drifting a bit further from the player than it should.

Also seen a few attacking instances where a pass rather than an attempted dribble or shot would have been a much better idea.

Mignolet has had to make a save or two as well.

Manquillo looks off the pace. Glad we have 0 fullbacks on the bench.

Not much room in the midfield. Wanyama has had a worldie first half. They're pressing us quick. We can't win the ball back either. No mobility between Lucas and Gerrard.

I'm guessing Can can play if needed, but it is weird that Enrique is not on there as I haven't heard of any injury.

At least we'll have Moreno for next weekend.

Damn.

Had to figure that was coming. Caught flat footed across the back line.

We've allowed them to take complete control the last few minutes.

Jesus. Mig having to make big saves.

We look as disinterested as ManU did.

The fans as well. They've been shite. I've had to listen to Southampton fans all morning on TV. It's depressing.

Have we forgotten how to pass the ball?

Sturridge and sterling in fantasy. Score.

Didn't get to watch game, sounds like we were positive thinking but just poorly executed?

Started well, looked dreadful for long stretches, somehow got a 2nd goal, went back to looking dreadful. Lucky to get the win.
