Finally got around to watching The Wire a couple weeks before S5 was starting and finished all 4. In one 24 hour sitting, the most I did was about 7 or 8 episodes.

Yeah - I've watched at 6 to 7 episodes of 24, The Sopranos, The Wire, The Shield and various Star Trek series, in a single day. (ETA: Probably Breaking Bad, too.)
Not sure if I've gotten through 8 in a single day, but probably.
With sitcoms like WKRP, Cheers, Frasier, Modern Family, or animated like Simpsons or South Park - easily more - 10 to 12 - perhaps in the teens - you can crank out almost 3 per hour of those on a binge.

Either a whole season of weeds or 75% of season one of house of cards.

I think I watched about 8 episodes of Breaking Bad when the wife and kids were out of town. t was awesome. Then I caught up to the show after season 3.
It sucked having to wait each week.

Either Seasons 1 & 2 of 24 or the first two season of LOST... back when I had Netflix disc service I watched both of those in binge fashion. Would probably go through 3 discs, so 12 episodes in a day.

But really, LOST lent itself to being binge watched because it had an addicting aspect of it unlike any TV show. I've never seen a show where it's viewers were so adamant about wanting to know what happens next. You had to watch the next episode to hopefully figure out your questions (which rarely happened).
We didn't start watching Lost until season 3 was airing. My wife caught one of those catch-up recap episodes on, and we watched that. It looked interesting, so I started TiVo on that season, and went to my channel guide to catch all the repeats from that season too. We watched S1 and S2 in about a week at the end of the summer, then watched all of the recorded S3, right before S4 came out. So 3 seasons of Lost in about a week. We'd knock out 3-4 episodes a night. This was before the kids were born, so it was easy to blow through several episodes when we got home after dinner. Nothing else was on in the summer worth watching and that is when I added streaming to my Netflix account.
Before that, we were on a 24 kick. I had the 3 discs option with Netflix, and that was half a season of 24. I remember taking a portable DVD player on our flight to Hawaii and it was over 8 hours in the air from Houston to Honolulu. I think I went through 6 episodes on the flight out and the other 6 on the flight back.

My roommate, my GF (now wife) and I watched the entire first season of the OC in a 36 hour period while we were in college (2004). It was great.

When my wife and I decided to start GoT, we started around 8:30 pm and went until after 3 am.
Not that big of a deal, but it was very unusual for us.
