Harvin if you need immediate production and a starting WR.
Patterson if you're looking for a guy with big upside and can afford not to HAVE to start him immediately.
ETA: With that said if I already have my two viable starters at WR I'm taking Patterson because i feel like he is going to have a pretty good year if he stays healthy.

Gimme the proven production in Percy.
Leary of Bridgewater or whoever the Minny QB is.
Like Patterson to tho.

Percy will never be 100%. a migraine can hit him any time.

With that said, I would never draft P. Harvin. And if I did I would pray he had a great week 1 and I could use him as trade bait for someone more stable. He can't be trusted for more than 1/2 the season. Hell, if he makes it through training camp without getting injured it will be a win for him and shock for me.

I prefer Patterson just because Harvin seems to bruise his pussy on a regular basis and goes way too high for my taste. But Patterson is high this year too. I think I grabbed him off waivers in a league last year (or maybe drafted him in a very late round). He had some good games at the end of the season. THe talk out of Minn is they know how to use him now and want to showcase him. Harvin, while good on the rare occasions he's healthy, is still on a run first team with a lot of low-scoring defensive wins.

Not necessarily. A lot of leagues do keepers. For instance, I'm keeping AJ Green and Calvin Johnson, along with one more player. I have the 10/10 pick so I could potentially take him at 10 or on the turn at 11. Hell IF I were lucky i might be able to swing him at 30. Just an example of being able to already have two WR, plus possibly two RBs and still being able to be in position to take him.
