I think it was Albert Richardson! Incredible LB and broke an ungodly number of helmets (his and others).

Maybe not the hardest but honorable mention to Loston. He would knock himself stupid sometimes.

Uh, yeah!
That game was made even sweeter by watching it at some Arky fanboy's house.

Michael Calais hit like a dump truck before he got injured and had to quit......

Mark Roman. I still see that hit he put on that Tulane receiver. The guy was Offensive player in high school in LA. Then played 4 years in the LSU defensive backfield Then went off to a pretty good career in the NFL. just sayin.

When I used to live in LA and went to all of the games, Steve Rehage was a maniac especially on special teams. He would launch himself at the opponents wall of defenders, taking out 3 guys by himself. I'll never forget him!

Since 1980 there have been two LSU Tigers who struck fear into opponents, Laron Landry and JC Copeland. There have been a lot of hard hitters and a lot of amazing hits, but I've never heard opponents comment specifically on a particular player's violence, besides these two. And for these two I've heard it several times.

Agree...D it is Laron Landry and O it is JC Copeland even going that far back. Though from solely a DL perspective, that Lenny Marshall was a beast. QBs feared him on pass plays.

I don't have any video, but Greg Jackson from the mid 80's could put a whoopin on anyone in free space. He would come out of nowhere from FS or SS position and level you.

Michael Brooks. He got hurt his senior year, but it's him or Eric Hill. Hill was a bad dude.

anyone know why we don't have the countdown to kickoff up yet? Isn't it usually up?
