Why is soccer the only one of the second-tier sports that doesn't welcome new fans/interest?

Golf, Tennis, Lacrosse, etc. all are thrilled when there's more interest.

Doesn't it have its complaints when people only care for Tiger and when people want to change the game so its more Happy Gilmore and less like golf is now?

This is purely your skewed perspective if you think that this is the case.

Golf

I think it would be more entertaining if all the greens were completely flat. Think of the low scores!

Tennis

How awesome would it be if the balls were just a bit bigger? And what's with this scoring system? Just make it first one to 5 points wins! This "love" stuff is stupid.

Lacrosse

It's just running grass hockey. Make the defenders carry spears that can penetrate human flesh! That will make it more exciting.

This is how it sounds to people who love soccer when new "fans" show interest in the sport. No other sport experiences this.

Because they don't view it as a second tier sport imo
