I'm sure when you were doing those miles you were competitive and fast, and also looked like a runner. Unless someone has a metabolic problem or eats and drinks like a hog you are going be phenomenal shape running that much.

It seems every other runners in some threads claim that type of mileage, some of that seems hard to believe.

I think 25-30 miles is plenty for basic cardio and maintaining weight

well this is the internet, so I'm sure some people do over exaggerate their mileage but we do have some pretty legit runners on this board

And how exactly do you know what everyone on here who runs looks like?

I don't really get that from here, there are a handful of people who make those claims but not "every other runner" claiming that. Also, 40 miles per week is easy and I don't really raise an eyebrow when someone claims that.
