Will we as fans agree and come to an agreement we have underachieved or continue drinking Miles koolade?

It really shows how good Miles is when we can consistently win 10 games a year, while playing in the toughest division in the toughest conference, and so many fans are unhappy with it. Of course we want championships, but I don't like the mentality of "we have to win it all or this season is a failure." Way too much that can go wrong. I would like to see at least an SEC championship/playoff appearance in the next 3 years though, and I see Miles winning it all at least one more time before he's done.

The truth is that Miles can make huge blunders at times, but no program in the SEC has been as consistently competitive in the SEC the last 10 years than LSU with Miles.

Funny that no one brings up Saban's blunders from when he was at LSU.

Right. Instead, with Saban, it was losing to UAB, an equally mediocre Ole Miss team, leaving Booty in all year for some God-foresaken reason, leaving Mauck in against UF, leaving Ben Wilkerson in, shitting the bed at Arkansas and completely mailing in the last game he ever coached for us against Iowa.
If we're going to dissect Miles and rip him apart for perceived blunders, we can't just forget about Saban and bow before his infallibility.

Just making an observation. So many people on here, in the media, and just in talking to people paint Miles as some bumbling idiot, while at the same time ignoring the numerous times Saban mismanaged or was clearly outcoached at LSU.
Eta: not accusing you of this at all.

Ok but one if those things happened last season.
Not 10 plus years ago.

Then I would cut LF off the payroll...
There is a stupid answer to a stupid question.

The current coach always gets it harder than his predecessors. When we have a new coach, we'll be saying "Coach X sucks. Remember Miles? He was so awesome," just like many are saying about Saban now.

...He refused to adapt or prepare then. Now it gets even harder. [/quote]
Yup...sad but true. The devil is in the details...and Les aint good at details. He's either incapable or not willing to learn certain aspects of coaching that would separate himself as a great coach and not just a pretty good one.
The team will always have a punchers chance because of the talent...but...whatever we all know the rest.

The NC game against Alabama and the Peach loss to Clemson come to mind... Ole Miss clock management debacle which resulted in loss... Bone headed penalties and poor use of time outs seemingly every game.
Yes... He wins more than he loses but its usually ugly and alot of times painful to watch the games and it usually has nothing to do with the players. Like I said, he is a pretty good coach and will win alot more games before he leaves LSU. Hope I'm wrong, but gonna be tough to win it all again with him at the helm.

It's amazing how many people ignore this.

I would be disappointed with no N C in the next 3 or 4 years, but I will take L M as my coach regardless.

Man, you just summed up what I was thinking after I read that post. Idiots seem to dominate this board.

I say that the LSU alumni hire you as our next football coach. As a graduate of LSU, I'd love to see what you can do with the talent that LSU has.
