This thread is like a hard dose of reality and a realization of how stupid I'm being.

I look back at the way I felt and I laugh at how stupid I was.

I was ready to give up all of the best things in life.

Be patient and time will heal it for you. However, no amount of time ever really heals someones grief when they lose a parent/loved one to suicide. I can PROMISE you first hand that no matter what, your family and friends will be hurt forever if you leave them.

You're not being stupid. I'd imagine most everyone that has been through a divorce with kids involved has felt something at least sort of similar to what you've described.

It's not stupid as much as it is being controlled by your emotions, instead of controlling your emotions. Once you realize that the way you're feeling is tied to emotions, as opposed to the facts, it might make it easier for you to understand that there is light at the end of the tunnel, once the emotion passes.

Seriously. If you've been feeling this way for a length of time now, stop into a physician's office TODAY and get some antidepressant meds (generic Paxil is literally like $5 from Wal-mart). You will begin feeling better immediately and can begin to deal with your underlying issues.

Just imagine being able to wake up tomorrow and feel normal again.
