TCU Welter and Iowa Welter were night and day. I do think Tight ends are his weakness, as if I recall Arkansas and Iowa and any team with a TE who can catch really somewhat burnt him or beat him consistently. But he can improve in that area. He had one starting season trying to replace Minter, and he wasn't even supposed to be our best linebacker but they don't get flak for "under performing"

You responded to the poster's statement about who you defend by stating it is a different situation. I guess it is a different situation every time because you never waiver. You are consistent. The results are always the same as to who you support and defend. And who you put down. That is why you have the rep on here that you do. You only support a small percentage of the team.

We all understand why you love Welter so much, but did I really say anything multiple people haven't said before?

Why are we supposed to trust the coaches decisions on certain players but with others it's okay to second guess? I hope Welter starts every game just to hear the rant bitch and moan.

If Welter has added 10 pounds of muscle without losing any speed, he could be a lot better for us. Part of his problem, especially early in the season, was just getting dragged for extra yards when making tackles.

Yes he lacks the physical tools of our other linebackers, but somebody has to make the calls/reads, etc. I don't think Chavis puts him out there just to troll the rant.
