Moss was more productive. CalJohn still has an opportunity to reach Randy's level. But he is not there yet.

Athletically, CalJohn may be the greatest specimen to play his position. But Randy wins this argument. For now...

Great question by the way.

I remember watching Moss at Marshall leaping over people and just flat out running everyone. I prayed the Saints would take him, but knew they wouldn't. I loved watching Randy play. I love watching Megaton play now.

But this question is simple; you take Moss all day everyday. I would take him over Rice if we just talked for prime seasons. Rice is GOAT, but I can't imagine what Moss would've done with SFs QBs. Well I guess I can a little, Moss in 2007.

Calvin has averaged over 100 yds/game the last 3 seasons. Moss only did that once in his career.

You know who else only did it once in his career? Jerry Rice. Surely you wouldn't take Calvin over him.

Randy Moss belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of greatest athletes from the U.S. Moss is up there with Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, Allen Iverson, Jordan, Ken Griffey, Jr., Shaq, etc. I can't put Calvin Johnson in that league. Calvin is a great receiver but Randy was otherwordly. You can literally take a bum off the street, give him pass protection, and he would have a 50% chance of throwing a TD pass to Moss.

looks like the better question is if moss in his prime was better than jerry rice(obviously not for an entire career)

Moss's record breaking season with Brady...23 TD catches playing 16 games.

In the '87 season, right caught 22 TD passes playing only 12 games because of a players' strike.
