I am scheduled to take ECON 705 and ISDS 705 Fall AP2. Who did you take Econ with?

I am. I am teaching myself through YouTube videos

I have not spent the time on Finan 701 that I should have. I went into exam 3 with an A. The first 2 tests were the majority qualitative for me. This gave me a sense of complacancy so I went into exam 3 with a less than adequate spreadsheet built. It bit me. I am hoping to get an A now, but we shall see. I know of 2 questions I did not complete 100% so its likely a B. With that said I am going to slam this final.

....And I will tag on with everyone else who says Vines is great. I like his personality. He truly wants you to understand the material. Some of his readings can be a bit tough to follow but the Zoom sessions help tremendously. I love it when he starts off on a tangent about something.

Shaughnessy was great. That's not the same as easy, but he actually seems to care that you do well. He has videos lectures, zoom sessions, class forums, and tons of supplemental videos. Remember that you can email him if you have any questions, he'll try to help.
It was a tough class, but I learned a lot and felt the teacher was engaged. The most engaged I've seen so far.

Congratulations GeauxUF and Marco22! I'm hoping that I will get one too next year. If you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA? If you don't want to be too specific, maybe just whether you had 4.0 or not.

I graduated with a 4.0 at the end of the 1st summer session and I did not get an invite to BGS.

pineveillj,
You really should double up ISDS 705, or even triple up. It's probably the easiest course in the program and frankly useless imho. I took it with Lin, I think he loaded up the course into Moodle and then hopped on a flight to Hawaii.
The course is more like an undergrad "Intro to IS" course, and I don't think I learned a single meaningful thing in the first 2/3 of the class that I didn't already know... not that there was a whole lot. I can see this class only being important for anyone who wants to get into IT, but knows literally nothing about computers.

Thanks!
I'm holding a 4.0 right now with the current AP1 term and the upcoming AP2 term remaining. Hoping to keep that GPA after next week is over!
FIN 701 with Vines is a great class and it would take a catastrophe to kill my A there.
MADM 701 with F. Williams is a pretty awful class comparatively. I'm hanging on to an A for dear life. The method of assessment used for the tests is horrible.
I can't wait to write a post-mortem review of these classes once I'm done.

+1 on this. Like you said, it's probably the easiest course in the program. I doubled it with ISDS 702.

I wonder if there's anyone at LSUS you guys who finished in summer can talk to about that? Seems unfair to me.

I'm graduating next term and have not received one. I received the NHS application last term.
By any chance has anyone taken the MADM 725 or 752? Need a final elective to take for my last course. Was hoping to take an easy course to finish out. Currently I'm enrolled in Data Analytics 710.

I only have three course offerings for AP2. FIN 730, ECON 701, and ISDS 705. Everything else is either full or not offered. I'd like to take ISDS with a harder course since everyone says it is easy. But, I don't want to make the course harder for myself by taking ECON with White.

I took MADM752 with Knotts. I found the class a bit boring, but it wasn't hard. All in all it was OK and a fairly typical MADM class.
Mix of some video and chapters to read. Weekly quiz. 500 words or so every week on that week's topic. One major project that was actually pretty darn easy (interview a family business owner).

Who do you have for ISDS 705? I'll be in with Gibbs. Also taking MADM 760 with McLaughlin. Figured those two would be a good pairing.

I second mtntreks comments that MADM 752 with Knotts is not a hard class. The "project" to interview a family business owner is very easy. I have a hard time calling it a project.
