Astro's Game
Go to a 24-hour Mexican place
Pick up a cougar at Leon's Lounge
That's all I got.

Houston Museum of Natural History
JSC (go check it out before the feds decide to stop exploring space)
If you have the time - Schlitterbahn in Galveston
Ninfa's on Navigation
If driving from LA, and the new Buc-ees in Baytown is open by then, stop there
Top Golf
Luling City Market

Beers at The Hay Merchant. Huge selection on tap. Really good hamburgers too.
Drinks at Anvil. It's a craft cocktail bar that does amazing volume. The bartenders there are freaking rock stars.
Good arse Mexican food at El Real Tex Mex. All these places are down the street from each other.
For culture, go to the Rothko Chapel. It will lower your blood pressure by 30 points.
Down the street from there is the Menil Collection, a big arse art museum. They've got Warhols, a Jackson Pollock, all sorts of cool stuff.

I've never been. Missed the Byzantine collection a while back.

We stumbled upon it last year when we went. Really impressive.
There's a lot of odd outsider art in Houston. There's a house covered in beer cans, the Orange Show and an Art Car museum. They're all pretty cheap to see too...like a couple of bucks each.

To each their own, I like Rice Village personally but it really depends where you are staying

Eat at Los Dos Amigos -- get the enchiladas with fried eggs on top.

Is that Screwed Records shop any good for real? What do they sell? May have to check it out next time I'm in town.

Is it mostly more recent works? I like the older European works that the fine arts museum has plenty of so I always go there to stroll around. American and modern art are meh to me.

top golf is fun but not close to midtown (there are now 2 in Houston).
Obligatory Treasures, but my preference is St. James aka The Church for boobies.
There is no GREAT BBQ in Houston. It's an oddity that needs to be remedied.
I'd get a nice steak, maybe at Taste of Texas. It's good but it won't break the bank. There are other pricier options that are better.
I'd spring a little extra on the Mexican food and go to Lupe Tortilla.
Hit up the Johnson Space Center. It's cool.
