for some reason I don't think hitting deer is a problem during the middle of the summer, especially in the middle of baton rouge

Well, you sure couldn't drive that car around for too long like that so the damage must have been recent. The wreck was just up airline. The car is maroon. The damage fits. I think it's reasonable for the cops to investigate further, but there are plenty of other reasonable explanations too,

My aunt hit a deer on O'Neil Lane in the summer time.

I wouldn't go that far, last week I nearly smoked a deer in my truck in my neighborhood.

Deer cross Airline all the time right where he took that picture.
