and have suggestions of things to do there during a 2 week stay?
Kilimanjaro, Serengeti NP, and the Indian Ocean coast are 3 of the most obvious things to go to.
Other lesser known sweet places to see, things to do, etc?
TIA

I hear the elephant/rhino hunting is amazing down there. Just make sure you ask the locals, not any official/resort people.

I've been, summitted Kili and did the safari deal. I recommend taking an extra day on the summit attempt and one less day on safari, believe me you'll get tired of seeing another damn zebra by then.

Besides the things you mentioned, Ngorogoro crater is an excellent safari experience and I would highly recommend it.
But nothing compares to the Serengeti. Make sure you spend a couple of days camping out in it.
ETA how could I forget Zanzibar? Definitely worth going to. If you go to Zanzibar, do a spice tour and go to their street market by the water. Tons of fresh seafood and the atmosphere is very nice.

Dar Es Salaam has the best Indian food I've ever had.

Been to South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Angola.
In my personal experience, Nambia is far and away the most interesting of those places.

I've been to Tanzania. Beautiful country. Do a 9 or 10 day safari. They'll take you to 4 or 5 national parks (including Serengeti). Each one is different. Do the tented camps choice versus hotels. Best trip I ever went on. Many companies will combine the safari and Kili climb.

I think the most obvious think to do is a photo safari.

I studied abroad there for 45 days, vacationed for a week.
Mapenze beach resort was awesome. Check out Stonetown in Zanzibar. Stayed 2 nights at Selous game reserve (largest). We had our own fancy tent we slept in that was guarded by masabi tribesman. It's a beautiful country. I'm jealous.
You also might want to check out Bagamoyo, a small beach town an hour or so north of Dar Es Salaam.
