It does not fit my personality to pursue people to buy into these, but I personally know many people making over 250k and a couple over 500k in some of these "schemes".
It's not for everyone but there is lots of money to be made for the ones who endures the rejections and criticisms.

You know MANY people making 250-500k+ off MLMs?
You do realize that lying about how well you do in MLMs is part of being involved in MLMs.

the only Amway products I've ever seen were owned by the pushers of that crap, somebody's making money there though, they had a 727 30 years ago, I can only imagine what they've got now

Haven't seen much LIMU lately, but the Nerium is ramping up. Limu was a BMW, I think Nerium is a Lexus.

All pyramid schemes are the same in all the ways they're different.
"It's not a pyramid scheme or anything like that" is always said in the pitch.
"You get out of it what you put into it"
"The difference between this company model and that one you're calling a pyramid is that we're actually selling a product."
"I want to introduce you to my partner ______, he has been working here for just ______ months and he has a condo in ________ and drives a _______"
There's a travel one going around college campuses now too.
I did cutco in high school. While I don't think it's a pyramid in the sense that if you recruit x number of people you get x% of their sales. It is in effect the same cheesy arse shite. Plus you have to buy your demo kit. Any company that makes you buy their product so they can employ you is a fricking scam (aside from franchises - which they try and compare to). But I hit all the relatives and friends. And I sat in one cheesy arse sales meeting in those offices behind Ruth's. Strobe lights, black lights, loud stadium anthem music "yall ready for this?". I looked around and just knew I couldn't bring myself to be that fake. When I quit the guy was like, "nope. no. not allowing you to quit. there's too much promise in you." "sorry but i quit" "no, beef, not gonna let you do it. come in here, we'll sit down and we'll re-work your presentation" "it's not my presentation. its your company. i quit"

The latest MLM company is one called Rodan & Fields. They started the Pro Active face creams and have branched out in other areas. There are some women out there that are making some serious money with it.

They have been after my wife, shite she wont even work a real job...not sure why they want her.
She did buy some of the product, it is high as a cats back, but I will say, it seems to make her skin look damn good.

Had a co-worker push me on ExCel telephone service back in the mid 1990's. The dude worked for the government but didn't do shite all day. I went to a meeting/luncheon with him that was held in Drusilla shopping area. He was sure it was going to put AT&T out of business.
Saw the guy about 10 years later driving the same broken down car. Never heard about Excel again.

Dont blame Amway, blame your dad
All he had to do was say no. He was chasing wealth, glory, power, his brother, whatever. But he was driven and let it ruin him. An addiction almost
If it wouldnt have been Amway, he goes down in flames with something else.

One of my best friends in HS/early college had parents who were HUGE into Amway. They always called it "the busienss." He got into it as well. But they were from Clinton and had access to a lot of, for lack of a better word, uneducated people who completely bought into the system. He always talked a big game about the money they mad, but from what I understand, his parents actually retired pretty early on with Amway's help.
No idea how successful at it they actually were, but IMO if you have access to a solid pool of gullbile people, you can prolly make some money from it. I do want to shake my head every time I see someone pimping Visalus or LIMU or any of the other pyramid bullshite things that come across my FB feed.
I think we are thinking of the same friend.
Are his initials JH?

Husband and I were at a restaurant and the table next to us these 2 guys were trying to convince a 3rd guy to join some energy drink thing.
It was entertaining eavesdropping on their conversation. Them talking about the BMW they both drive because of the company and how easy it is to sell the stuff. 3rd guy seemed to be totally falling for their spill as well.
Would yall consider Beachbody a pyramid?

Former coworker of mine posts about this on FB ALL THE TIME now. She has even sent me multiple fb messages about it.
Haven't talked to her in years and I get a fb message asking how I've been. I'm thinking "aww, that's sweet, I haven't seen her in years"
Nope...she is trying to ask if I'll be in BR in June for her stupid Rodan and Fields party.
