Unpredictable. You never had much of a clue what the hell was going on,
Neither did the people making the show, which made it fly off the rails at the end.

Lots of things made it captivating for me. The characters. The mysteries. The score. Everything people have said already...all great reasons that it resonated with me. And also, like Freaux said, the interaction with other fans. In all honesty the thread discussions week in and week out on this board were fun as shite, and drew me in even more...sure, the overanalyzation of every excrutiating detail of the show was annoying at times, but still fun all the same.
And on top of all of that, it was just good television IMO. And that's reason enough to resonate with me, but combined with all of these other factors, it's one of the most fun and best shows I've ever watched/experienced, and I'm not sure anything will match it again (could happen, but it's a high bar). It's not the best show I've ever seen, but it's certainly one of my favorites.

Dynamite drop-in.
Watched a few episodes and never felt the urge to watch anymore.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to remember that during the shows run those were the correct lottery numbers for one of the drawings in real life. Freaky.

It really happened
eta: they didnt get every number. 26,000 people won $150 by playing the numbers, but the actual numbers drawn were 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and megaball 42.

The Wire is the best show I've ever seen, and probably will be, but LOST was by far the most fun TV experience I've had. The 2-3 months I watched LOST a few buddies and I would crack open a few brews every night, binge watch till 2-3 in in the morning, and discuss it after. Good times.

I watched the entire series on NF. Wish I had all that time back.

I certainly looked badass in HD, also.

This is prob a show I need to try binge watching. I got bored when it first came out and it was flashback after flashback. I bailed after only like 4 episodes. It gets a lot of love here.

Compelling story line that each can equate with at least part of, internal and external conflicts with in each character, consistent change in view s of charters as you see their layers over time....but the key for me was the interaction and that everyone comes from the same place. Unlike shows produced from books or comics...Everything was fresh to everyone. ...this made from more thinking and delving

Just started season 4. On a binge watch. Great show, but some of the acting is comical.
