Episodes 1-8 are there, and every Friday they'll put a new one up at noon I think.

Bastards. With the online viewing we'll probably be unable to skip commercials as well.

Just finished Episode 9, and it's been put up on Nick's site: LINK
Well, they kicked it up a notch in this episode. Finally we know what the Red Lotus is all about, but we still don't know what exactly they want with Korra now that the portals are open. Zaheer is definitely the best villain in the franchise since Azula, and loved them talking back and forth with one another and him thrusting the Truth Seer into the pits of hell. Lot of good lines between Korra and Zaheer, and this Lahima guy is certainly going to be a major plot point.
But talk about a curb-stomp battle. I just don't know how they're going to be able to defeat these guys. Even sending an army after them I don't think is going to do any good since they're just that damn powerful.
Next week's episode is "Long Live the Queen", so I'd say it's a safe bet the Earth Queen's days are very numbered and that the Red Lotus is about to go in and rip Ba Sing Se a new a-hole. Hell, the original Team Avatar kicked the Earth King's entire guard's arse, it's not even going to be fair this time around.

Well, the next episode has been released, and it's completely excellent, but let's face it, this post is a moot point. It will be the same thing like the last series that 2 years after it's done, people will watch and realize how great it actually is. I'm disappointed in you people for giving up on Nick's demands, when so far this is looking to be better than Season 2 of the original series. I'll be here 3 years from now when half the posters catch onto it and wonder why they haven't heard of it. It was the same thing with the last series, and it's clear that from Season 2 onward they've gone back to that format.

Bumping just because of how Zaheer killed the Queen. I mean holy frick that was brutal even by regular tv standards it was bad. Sucking all the air out of her lungs and watching her eyes bulge out as she slowly died. How did they get away with that?
It's almost a given Lin's sister is working with the Red Lotus now since she said she thinks queens are outdated. Zaheer was actually kind of hero in this by killing the queen and getting rid of the Dai Lee. But of course now everyone is rioting and stealing.
Also a theory that Zaheer killed either Sokka since we still have yet to hear what happen to him and we know Zaheer's crew did something real messed up to get thrown in those prisons.
Also more Zuko was great

I'm still thinking they killed Aang, and maybe Sokka as well in the raid to capture Korra. They needed Aang dead in order to open the portals with a newer more naive Avatar, but there is still something they need from Korra, or else Zaheer would have just thrown her in the Fog of Lost Souls.
I don't see how Korra is going to defeat these guys in 3 episodes. I think they'll be the villains of the next season as well. Plus, how the hell do you top these guys? They're definitely the strongest villains that have been presented in either series.

Yeah that's the rumour that Season 3 will be a cliffhanger and I'm really hoping it is. I'm guessing Zaheer is going to unleash global chaos and season 4 will be the gang taking out the Red Lotus and restoring order.
Although I got to say the Red Lotus actually has some good ideas which I think maybe corrupted by another power.

You think that was the message they wanted the brothers to give to Korra?
Zaheer has a Bane-like quality to his approach.
Of course it will be corrupt!

If I had to take a guess, he's telling Mako and Bolin to tell Korra that he's on his way to the Northern Air Temple, and that he'll kill Tenzin and maybe Jinora if she doesn't turn herself over to him.

Is what Zaheer did to kill the queen equivalent to bloodbending?
Breath bending?

That's something I was never really clear on. Like what is the reincarnation process exactly? Since we know the Avatar Spirit Raava is a separate sentient entity, does Raava like...fly into the nearest pregnant woman's womb in the next nation in the cycle? Or dies she like...fly into a baby after he or she is born or can either happen?
And does Korra even have the Avatar State anymore? Part of what made it so powerful was all the knowledge from the past lives. But Avatar Wan was using back to fight Vaatu and he had no past lives to draw from.

Judging from "The Avatar and the Firelord", Raava flies into a baby that's about to be born in the next order of the cycle.

She used the Avatar State in the premiere, so she's still got it. I'd imagine the Avatar State is less powerful now than it once was though.

This show keeps getting darker going from happy moments with team getting reunited to Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya getting their asses handed to them.
The fight with Tenzin and the Red Lotus was probably the most brutal of the entire series. I also don't like how they cut away from Tenzin getting beat up on from the entire Red Lotus. Especially right after he said he won't stop fighting until he's dead.
Killing the Earth Queen was one thing but killing off Tenzin, man that would be some ballsy stuff. And would make me think even more that the ratings aren't the only reason Korra isn't on TV.
By the way the last episode of this book is called "Venom of the Red Lotus" which sounds more like a cliffhanger then a finale. If Tenzin isn't dead then I'm guessing somebody major is going in that episode.

Just watched it. If they don't shite the bed, this will be the best season of the franchise for sure. This episode got just dark and cruel, especially towards Tenzin. I don't think Tenzin is dead yet, but I do think he'll die in the season finale defending Korra and his family from Zaheer.
I don't see how they wrap this up completely in 2 episodes, and the Red Lotus will continue to be the villains of the next and final season. I too am beginning to suspect that the material itself is what is making Nick pull Korra off the air, since this is easily the darkest and most violent stuff we've gotten from either series (aside from maybe the genocide, which Zaheer is now threatening to do again). Even the implied things that were happening in Ba Sing Se, tens of thousands were likely being killed in the streets. I really don't see this season having a happy ending and will be the darkest hour for the franchise.
Although I think Tenzin will be killed, I really have no idea what will happen in the finale. Sad that so many jumped the ship, since this is as intense and as awesome as the series has gotten.

I jumped off when Korra got her powers back at the end of the first season. It was too easy of an out for what could have been really solid character development.
But I remember Amon was a badass and his death scene was the darkest thing I could remember in a children series.
I might eventually catch back up.

You shouldn't be reading this thread then
But push through season 2 until you get to season 3, season 3 has been awesome

Honestly, this is a complaint I completely understand, since this is the single biggest frick-up in the history of the franchise. The thing is, Korra is kind of a count for the first half of season 2, and it makes no sense. It's the arc she went through in the first season, but if she lacked the other 3 elements to fight evil, then her actions would be rational and make sense. And on top of that, there is a perfect opportunity both from a plot and character perspective in Season 2 for her to regain her full powers.
But in the end, knowing the history of the series, it's hard to blame them. Korra was initially planned as a miniseries, and then they'd do a miniseries on Zuko finding his mother and a miniseries on Avatar Wan, but when they saw the quality of the first season of Korra, Nick blindly gave them 3 more seasons of it. As a result, it seems Seasons 2-4 are more a continuous plot, and the first season really has nothing to do with the plot at all.

Even the haters of Korra are agreeing that so far, this is the best season in the Avatar franchise. Think of how great and dark Season 2 was of the original series, and basically double it. I think taking it off the networks was largely because of the fact that the creators took a ton of pages and tropes from Game of Thrones and put it into Avatar.

Final screen cap for the finale:
Posted on 8/16/14 at 10:42 pm to OMLandshark
So I'm thinking in Enter the Void will just be a set up for the climatic fight for the final episode. I think Korra and her crew get the jump on the Red Lotus but it leads to a complete 180 when Tenzin or another major character is killed. The Red Lotus force out Korra and her gang while they continue to bring down the Earth Kingdom.
With her homeland under siege I think Toph will reveal herself with a possible betrayal by Lin's sister.
As for Book 4, I think it will focus heavily on the fire nation as the Avatar crew has been defeated and suffered heavy losses. Zuko will have a bigger role and we will see the return of General Iroh and the first appearance of the Fire Lord

I never understood the huge complaint. Was it fast tracked that she got her powers back? Yes, but they don't have 20+ episodes a season in this series to burn them on filler. Not to mention as you stated this was supposed to be a one season deal in the beginning.
One way I've looked at it is that Amon didn't know how to block airbending from benders being he had never gotten the chance to try it on anyone before (meaning that his technique varied from each element of bending). Not having the other elements left Korra with no other choice but to connect with airbending which allowed her to connect spiritually with previous avatars which brings about the cosmic/spiritual energy of the avatar thanks to Rava. This would give her the ability to overcome Amon's waterbending block.
I do like this series not having wasteful filler though, every episode progresses the story well. I just hope this move to the internet doesn't kill the series before the final season, it would be terrible for it not to finish.
