Pretty sure common people refer to Pakistan as a middle eastern nation though. Geography wise you're right but they're not asian by any means.

Its SW Asia, by common you mean people who are not educated b/c Pakistan is not in the middle east.

I work with Pakistanis, and they consider Pakistan South Asia, not Middle East

The middle east is not a continent. what continent do you think they are a part of? Europe? Africa?
