My older brother and his wife are both selfish, stuck up assholes. It didn't used to be so bad, but once they got together, it just got to where I can barely stand to be around him. We used to talk on the phone regularly, but now he only calls when he has something to tell me about his wonderful life. Git a new job, wife pregnant again, buying a new house. Not that I'm not happy for him for those things. I am. But that's the only time I'll hear from him. And it's never a reciprocal conversation. No "how have you been?" or anything. Just a lot about him and his life. My mom used to be upset about our relationship falling apart, but even she sees his selfishness and why I do t like talking to him. I wish him the best. I just prefer not to have him in my life.

Of course. What kind of siblings would they be if they didn't piss Scruffy off.

Nah, both my brothers are cool

Get along pretty good. He's 7 years younger so there's still a good gap in responsibility and maturity. Always broke and needing money despite he and his wife making about $300k/year. Never pays when we go out. Never pays back loans. Still gets money from mom and dad(that they borrow from me). Has NEVER helped me do anything, but constantly needs favors. And no telling how many asses I've had to whip over the years for him. I think his favorite line us to be,"f$%k with me and my brother will whip your arse!!". But he's my bro.

yep, both of them are idiots. One brother married a delusional, selfish count who led him to believe that his family doesn't like him and that he is worthless and the other just got out of jail.... enough said.

My sister is awesome, but of course she annoys me sometimes. She nags worse than my mother and loves to give her opinion on everything even the shite she doesn't know anything about

No. We have never said a cross word to one another.

I'm not sure how I'd handle if I had a drug addict brother or something.
After the 12 or 13th rehab / recovery house stint, you kind of just acknowledge it for what it is.
It's sad, because I have a 16 month old, and I don't see my son him calling him 'Uncle', ever.
It sucks, and I feel bad about it. He's around 40 years old and doesn't have a pot to piss in. He does have an iPhone though, and he uses it to let everyone know how awesome he is with his post-recovery inspirational quotes.

I'll be THAT guy in this thread:
Had 1 older brother, but he died 9 yrs ago at 28. I was 24 at the time. We were very different people and he did have issues he struggled with that caused a lot of pain for my parents. I used to get really mad at him when I was younger, but damn... what I wouldn't give to be able to just grab a beer with him after work and talk

i have a sister that i struggle to love, nonetheless like very much at all.
she hasn't done anything terrible or made horrible decisions or anything.
she just was very lazy and unmotivated at life starting in HS and has frustrated me ever since. I think a lot of it is my resentment because my parents made her life a lot easier. I asked why once and they said "we know you could handle a tougher lot in life. she couldn't"
Some Highlights:
- she reads comic books and anime at the age of 33. she literally never one time left our hometown by herself till she was 31 and it was to go to DFW for a comicon.
- she got forcibly kicked out by my parents at 27. i got kicked out at 19 (not confrontationly, i just ran around too much and they didn't want to keep up with me)
- they paid for over half of her school and none of mine.
-she's had the same dead end job for 12 years and says she wont' ever move up because they are sexists.... not because she's 5"3 and 250+ lbs with no personality
- when my parents come to visit us, she will tag along solely for free food and has said as much. when my parents pay, she'll order appetizers, drink 6 refills of Dr. Pepper and a large entre. if my parents say she has to pay for herself, she'll get water and something off the kids menu.
