Acid Bath with Corey Taylor on vocals?

Looks like they're serious about getting back together now, from Jimmy Kyle's facebook yesterday
and today he left a message on Corey Taylor's fb
Does anyone actually want to see this? I don't think I do. They must be planning on doing a show since they've been jamming and are now looking for a singer, Voodoo Fest maybe?

I don't see CT doing it but I would like it. Love acid bath and CT is a great vocalist.

Love the two separately, just can't see it happening

I'll take anything, I was too young to catch them live when they were active. I'd go see whatever lineup they put together.

Weird... I remember hearing a few years back that Dax was down for doing it for the right money, but other members weren't.

That seems backwards to me, one would think that the other guys would need the $ more than Dax.

No sure if Dax is on the Acid Bath wavelength nowadays, but it would be a dream come true. Still not sure what to think about the Corey Taylor wild card. No Dax, no Audie, meh.

I've always heard Dax isn't interested in playing metal. It looks like they're willing to audition any random singer though. The only reason I could see for getting Corey Taylor or some big name is for a big show like Voodoo or maybe FFF Fest.

I don't see how you can replace somebody like Dax on vocals. It really would be a shame if they did this without him.
I'd love to see Dax do it but I honestly think he's too old to scream like that and he probably doesn't have a ton of interest.

Sammy released a statement today

quote:
"In response to [Kyle's] post by 'Acidbath The Bayou Kid' on June 3rd, 2014, I'd like to clarify a few things: Jimmy Kyle created that post without prior discussion with [guitarist] Mike Sanchez or myself.
"ACID BATH is not looking for a vocalist.
"There is no ACID BATH without [late bassist] Audie Pitre, so there will never be 'new' ACID BATH material.
"Currently, most of the surviving members of ACID BATH — Jimmy, Mike and myself — have been considering the possibility of doing some shows in the future as an ACID BATH tribute band, but nothing has been set in stone, and it is still just an idea. Unfortunately, [vocalist] Dax Riggs declines to be a part of such a tribute. We respect Dax and his decision.
"If we decide to put together an ACID BATH tribute band, the vocalist will be carefully chosen, but it is way too early to discuss choosing a vocalist at this time.
"I'd like to thank the loyal, diehard ACID BATH fans for their years of support, not just while ACID BATH was together, but for supporting us in all of our individual music projects."
