How many runs did we have Sunday night when Mainieri had to decide whether to send out a Bouman for a 7th inning, or go to the pen? Answer, 1. Houston was deep into their pitching and playing their 4th game of the weekend. How many runs did LSU score in 4 innings after Houston tied the score in the 8th? Answer, 0. How many runs did LSU score off of a completely depleted UH staff playing their 5th game in 4 days? Answer, 2.
Our scoring offense has faltered for the last 5 years when it mattered most. Hint, Hoover ain't where it matters most.
