Guilbeau is a moron as usual. Just being controversial so people will actually read his shite.

Poche had Friday night off. He had all day Saturday off. He had all day Sunday off. He would have had most of the day Monday off. That is three nights and three days in that order.

He got the night off after getting pulled from the game at around 4:00? That counts as an off day?

Guilbeau is an imbecile

I do agree with pitching Poche, everything else he needs to just shut up with.

Mainieri threw Gausman twice in the same day.

So, Guilbeau tries to redefine days of rest to make a point.

It's a weak, weak argument. The case for Poche pitching was that the pitch count on Friday was reasonably low, and the importance of the game dictated that he be available on very short rest.

You don't pretend like the evening after he pitched and the should be counted as a day of rest. That's just fricking absurd.

He has a point its just a terrible one. He has no idea what Poche's eligibility was for Monday. Every pitcher is different every arm is different don't try to compare him to a guy from the 90's. Manari isn't going to risk a freshman's arm like that.

Why not write an article on how many people thought three pitchers who had thrown well all year would not be able to get close to the fricking zone.

I don't care work the guy, but Guilbeau is on point here. You don't rest your tournament life on the bottom of your pitching staff if you have other options. You can't save your "better pitchers" for the late innings when your on the verge of being blown out in the 3rd inning. Monday's third inning was a total choke job by the coaching staff.
